This article details various glitch meta-map scripts for Rocket Hideout (B4F) in Pokémon Red and Blue.

This script is controlled by memory address D634.

Highlights

  • 0x01: Trainer escape glitch Special stat encounter compatible script
  • 0x02: Script may reset back to 0x00, unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x03: May display text "I see that you raise POKéMON with utmost care. A child like you would never understand what I hope to achieve. I shall step aside this time! I hope we meet again..." and change script back to 0x00
  • 0x04: Unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x05: Game may freeze
  • 0x06: Game may freeze
  • 0x07: Script may change to 0x00, otherwise unknown effect/game may not freeze
  • 0x08: Glitch audio followed by game freeze
  • 0x09: May corrupt player walking animation with "ABCD", "IJKL" sprite blocks
  • 0x0A: Game may freeze
  • 0x0B: Game may freeze
  • 0x0C: Walking lag
  • 0x0D: Game may freeze
  • 0x0E: Game may freeze
  • 0x0F: Game may freeze
  • 0x10: Game may freeze with white screen
  • 0x11: May display text "Burned again!" multiple times, followed by the Pokémon menu, possibly followed by "So! I must say, I am impressed you got here!" with a Giovanni battle. If the player wins, Giovanni may say his victory text (see 0x03) and the script may reset back to 0x00.
  • 0x12: Game may freeze with black screen
  • 0x13: May display Giovanni victory text (see 0x03) twice and change script to script 0x00
  • 0x14: Game may freeze
  • 0x15: Game may freeze with black screen
