(replace the numbers with real letters to make this work) I'll give you credit, but if someone else made it, please tell that person's name so I can give credit to him/her instead.

This may look like Matthew Robinson's code archive. I did start with his code archives, but they are not updated anymore. I gave credit to his codes.

Species-the species of the pokemon is listed both on the belt and in the pokemons data block. I believe the only reason is breeding. if boxed and unboxed, a pokemon will still be the species that was shown in the belt data block. if placed in the daycare, a pokemon will be the species that was shown in its own data block, and will remain so when removed from daycare.

PP-for the current pp locations, the two highest bits are reserved for how many pp ups have been used on that attack. with only 2 bits, it can only count to 3, hence the 3 pp up maximum for moves.

Status-the 3 low bits of status are sleep, used to count down how many turns of sleep is left. With 3 bits it is capable of counting to 7, the maximum number of turns a pokemon can sleep. Bit 4 is poison, 5 is burn, 6 is freeze, and 7 is paralysis. bit 8s purpose is still unknown, but filling the bit causes the pokeball to appear black when starting a battle (perhaps confusion).
